Chef Chanthy Yen
Chef Chanthy Yen is a Cambodian-Canadian culinary innovator and winner of Top Chef Canada Season 11. In his early days, he trained under world-renowned chefs like Ferran Adrià, and Andoni Luis Aduriz, as well as local chefs like Jefferson Alvarez, Ned Bell, and Sean Reeves. Chef Yen has opened multiple esteemed restaurants in Montreal and Vancouver, including the two-time Bib Gourmand-awarded plant-based restaurant Nightshade. With deep experience, Chef Yen has established a career that is characterized by a tapestry of cultural and culinary intersections: serving as Personal Chef to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, overseeing more than 15 acclaimed restaurants as Culinary Director of the Kitchen Table Group, and leading teams at multiple MICHELIN-recommended establishments. Today, he continues to champion heritage-driven, innovative cuisine as he prepares to open TOUK, his first restaurant as both co-owner and executive chef, where he will reimagine Cambodian cuisine through a modern and deeply personal lens.
